We repaint internal doors from £85 each (both sides and frame), skirting and architrave, window boards and radiators. Yellowed oil gloss can be sanded, primed and updated to a water-based satin that stays white.
Old oil-based gloss turns yellow, especially in rooms with less daylight. We key the surface, prime with an adhesion primer and switch to a modern water-based satin or eggshell that will not yellow.
Doors are painted in the right sequence, panels first then rails and stiles, so there are no lap marks. We take the handles off rather than paint around them.

Yes, after the gloss is sanded and primed with a bonding primer. Painting straight over oil gloss with water-based paint leads to peeling.
